BMW planning F1 test for Zanardi

Alex Zanardi looks set to return to the cockpit of a Formula One car next month when he tests for the BMW Sauber team.

The Italian racer, who lost his legs in an accident at the Lausitz circuit during a Champ Car round in 2001, is expected to test for the German squad at the Valencia circuit during the 25-26 weekend, coinciding with the Formula BMW World Final.

The test is yet to be made official, however, as the BMW team need to sort out details on what tyres they will be able to use in the car following Michelin's exit from Formula One and the impeding new contract with Bridgestone.

Zanardi last drove a Formula One car in 1999.

The Italian currently competes for BMW in the World Touring Car Championship.

BMW, Audi and Porsche to win hands down...

BMW, Audi and Porsche to win hands down in the vote for the being the most favoured car when it comes to sharing intimate moments.

A survey of 4000 people by pollsters yesinsurance.co.uk revealed that the Volvo Estate has seen more steamy action than any other vehicle and is the first choice for love making because of its roomy interiors.

Of the findings, Paul Purdy of pollsters yesinsurance.co.uk said: "We find it astonishing that, despite being renowned for being a box on wheels, the Volvo Estate tops the poll".

"It would seem that space is the most important issue for couples who want to enjoy themselves. Rear-view mirrors are the most easily damaged objects, followed by ripped fabric seating," The Sun quoted him as saying.
